Imagine this: the rich, spicy taste of Chorizo, perfectly balanced with the sweetness of tomatoes, all brought together in one pan. This recipe is so special because it reduces the complexity of flavors to a simple method of preparation, allowing anyone, regardless of their cooking experience, to create an authentic and satisfying dish.

The one-pan method is not only a nod to the modern need for convenience but also ensures a perfect blend of flavors, where each strand of spaghetti gets the chance to absorb the spicy oils and juicy tomato sauce.

How to make a one-pan spaghetti with tomatoes and Chorizo?

This one-pan spaghetti with tomatoes and Chorizo is the perfect solution for a hungry stomach on a busy weekday. Little of work, but full of flavor. After a few small preparations, you can start immediately. And within half an hour, this deliciousness is on your plate.

    The preparations

The preparations consist of finely chopping the onion, garlic, the chili pepper, and the Chorizo sausage. Quartering the mini Mozzarella balls also poses no obstacle. For the tomatoes, we make it easy on ourselves and open a can of chopped tomatoes.

From the onion and the garlic, we traditionally remove the outer skin. Then we chop both finely.

From the red chili pepper, we remove the stem and then halve it lengthwise. Remove the seeds and chop this finely as well.

We quarter the Chorizo sausage lengthwise. Then we cut off cubes of about one centimeter. We also quarter the mini Mozzarella balls so that they melt quickly when we add them to the pasta.

Making one-pan spaghetti with tomatoes and Chorizo

Once we're done with the preparations, we heat up a pan with oil until it's nice and warm. Take a large pan, because eventually, everything will come together in this pan.

Then sauté the onion, garlic, and chili pepper in it for about a minute, until the aromas are released.

Next, add the pieces of Chorizo sausage and the spaghetti. Also add the vegetable broth. Pour this over the spaghetti so that it is immediately moistened. Then bring it to a boil again and let the spaghetti cook for five minutes. Regularly ladle the broth over the spaghetti.

Now, you can also add the can of chopped tomatoes and the pieces of Mozzarella. Make sure everything is well mixed and the spaghetti can absorb all the aromas. Let the everything cook for another five minutes until the liquid is almost completely absorbed.

Check if the spaghetti is cooked. If so, you can serve the one-pan spaghetti with tomatoes and Chorizo in deep plates. Finish it off with some grated Parmesan and chives, and your delicious quick evening meal is ready. Little work, lots of flavor.

With spaghetti, you can never go wrong. But there's so much more than just classic spaghetti Bolognese. Nowadays, I like to prepare spaghetti as a one-pan dish, such as one-pan spaghetti with salmon and leek. But also take a look at these surprising recipes:

    • Spaghetti with tofu and shiitake.
    • Almost authentic spaghetti carbonara.
    • Pasta with sweet paprika sauce.
    • Vegetarian red lentil Bolognese.

    More surprising.Chorizo

The Spanish Chorizo sausage is an absolute culinary highlight. But as usual, you only need a part of it for this recipe. No worries, there are still many delicious dishes that you can make with Chorizo:

    • Easy potato-Chorizo stew.
    • Asparagus with confit Chorizo.
    • Red lentil soup with Chorizo.
