Surprising starters recipe ideas
Surprising starters are the second step in the warming up for a perfect meal. Following the appetizer, but still leaving appetite for the main course. So it should be something light but very tasty.
Among my favorites are hot smoked salmon with apple and cucumber. So fresh and light to digest. But full of taste!
In many cases I will serve fish for a starter. For example smoked mackerel on a leek stew. Or in spring an asparagus variation on vitello tonnato: asparago tonnato.
But also a sky-scraping Waldorf salad is one of my favorites, just as smoked chicken with avocado.
