    Receptar theme

    Recently I switched to the Receptar theme for surprising.recipes. Before I have been using Dyad 2. They are quite similar, so at first sight the change is not that big. The big advantage for Receptar is that all the menus are accessible right from starting screen. With Dyad 2, a lot of stuff is hidden at the bottom of the page, where nobody will see it.

    For me the user experience is very important. When you are hosting a food blog, a captive title and picture are the most important factors to engage your readers. That is exactly what this theme is doing. Moreover, the access to the social and the normal menu is very easy, but decently on the left side of the screen.

    A leading thought on choosing the theme was also differentiation. Many foodblogs look quite similar, because they use the same theme. The Receptar theme is a bit less frequent, so it catches better the eye.

    The installation of the theme was very easy, even for a non-techie like me. Moreover, the support from the owner, webmandesign.eu was great for the few questions I had.
